Chickenpox? Pics?

Hi everyone, my five year old daughter woke up on Sunday morning with a little gathering of spots on her lower tummy, throughout the morning developed little spots on her arm also, she then woke up yesterday with four little spots on her side which now look very inflamed! There's also single spots on her cheek, inside arm, upper tummy which aren't in clusters. I immediately thought chicken pox but no blisters and no scabs and only about 15 spots in total! Spoke to the gp yesterday who said to treat like pox.. pharmacist suggested the same. But I'm not convinced considering no blisters etc. We have a cat but he's flead and we've also checked him over completely and no sign of anything. They're itchy but not overly, she's also been generally off the past week and wasn't feeling great on Sunday when it first started. I'm more concerned about the ones that started out little and now are huge.. Any ideas? Can pox really take this route?

Picture 2 is the newest spots from yesterday morning and picture three is how they look now. All the rest are from Sunday and no inflammation!

Those look more like bites.

It’s been a while since I saw chicken pox but those don’t look the same as I remember. They were fluid filled blisters.

It probably is chicken pox. Dd1 took a while to look like chicken pox. I wasn’t convinced it was that for the first few days. People should vaccinate against it. Wish I had

The thing is I'd have no idea how he would get the bites? New beds in our house, not been on holiday, doubt it's the cat 🙈 he's the only one with them and there's also random single ones around his body including his cheek? I don't know what to think!

They look like bites to me. Check the cat for fleas and also check for bed bugs.

DallasCounty23 · 28/02/2023 14:52

I checked for both and the cat is completely clear, had a good look through, he also has no signs. The beds are clear they're just new but checked anyway. Just so baffled

Maybe not much help but I've just check and five new spots have come out in the past hour that I've noticed 🤷
