My children do three different hobbies each and one of those hobbies for one child is horseriding. She does it twice a month and it costs us £60 per month. This is significantly more expensive than her other hobbies, which she does each week, so she's getting much less time for much more money.
She is making very little, slow progress and has been for a while but claims to love it. Now her other sibling is wanting to drop one of his hobbies and take up horseriding instead and we just can't afford for them both to do it with the increase in the cost of living. Her brother is adamant that he's doing it because his sister does and my daughter doesn't want to stop.
What do we do?
It's frustrating as her grandparents got her in to the horseriding hobby in the first place after paying for a block of lessons for her, she then got upset at having to stop and it was us that had to pick up that cost.
