5 month old constantly moaning

Hi, really hoping for some advice on this because I really don't know what else to try.

My baby is 23 weeks and seems to moan constantly all day, particularly since her jabs last Weds but I think she is through the worst of that.

I've tried feeding, playing, reading books, her play gym, tummy time, nappy off to roll around, keeping her on my lap, walking around with her, bouncing up and down...nothing seems to work for more than a few seconds. The only times she's been content today is when she's been asleep and when we've been out for a walk in the pram.

I've given her half a sachet of teething powder, tried a new teething gel (though couldn't really get it on because she was just sucking it off the applicator 🙄) and have now tried some calpol in case teething pain is very bad today, which seems to have sent her off to sleep but before this sleep she was still moaning and crying so not even sure it helped. She has teething toys buy only likes her Sophie Giraffe, she doesn't really chew properly on others after trying them out, even the ones you can put in the fridge.

Has anyone else had this? What else can I do?

Ps. To add, she has never been the most patient of babies but previously we'd got to a point where she'd go in her play gym for 5-10 mins while I pottered about a few times a day, but now it's literally seconds and she's moaning.

Anbesol for teething. It’s far far better than bonjela (use a tiny amount).
Personally I’d give Calpol because teething is so tough but my DD is non verbal and disabled so is still getting her teeth at 5, so I have to go off her cues: if she’s repeatedly biting me I Calpol before bed and anbesol the rest of the time

Try the app Wonder Weeks, they might be going through a 'leap'. Also a book for more detail.
It's surprising how it does correspond with babies changes in temperament at certain times

Anbesol is the best.

My 5 month old is the exact same as yours OP and anbesol is the only thing that soothed her. Works like a dream.

Oh thanks, I've never even heard of it! Will look it up now, and the Wonder Weeks app too 😊 Thank you all.
