Hi
I have a few 2nd hand totsbots that when i take them off dd3 they really stink of ammonia! Its really strong, my other nappies dont smell like this.
I put used nappies in nappy soak and then do a cold rince and a 60 degree wash with non bio.
Does anyone have any advice?

usea couple of tablespoons of bicarb instgead of washing powder. and add some white vinegar into the rinse
hang outside to air for a few hours, even if they don;t dry

Oh will have to get some bicarb and vinegar tommorow at shopping. I put them on the line today to dry, they smell clean when they are dry its only when they are wet they are 100% stronger than any of the others!

yeah, i had the same prob with a few of my nappies too
putting them in at 90 degrees helped actually, but try the bicarb/vinegar first

I didnt know if it was because i was using a cheapie own brand washing powder which has virtually no fragrance, but i suppose you cant use anything too fragranced on lo's bum.
