Chair for baby - good / bad?

Baby is 4m so can’t sit up unaided but sits up well when held up. He’s refluxy so does enjoy being sat up as opposed to lying down a lot on the play mat/gym. He’s starting to do little baby sit ups in what looks like preparation for learning to sit up which is good but I wondered about either of these baby chairs - nuby and m&p.

which one do you think would be better but also do you think they will delay his efforts to sit on his own and I should just wait for him to do that? I’m a ftm btw in case you can’t tell haha.

I’be found the Baby Bjorn bouncer good for putting my very vomity baby in after feeds. It seemed expensive at the start but we have used it every day since we brought it (not for long periods at a time obviously). I find she’s less vomity in the semi reclined position rather than fully upright and I still use the bouncer now at 7.5 months for digestion time after feeds even though she can sit by herself.

You can get them pretty cheaply on fb marketplace, that’s where I got mine 😊

I was also going to suggest buying one second hand. You can then resell for the same amount so doesn’t matter if you don’t get much use out of it. We are still using ours at 7.5 months. I used to put her in it while I ate lunch etc but now I mostly use it for digestion time after bottles and rocking her to sleep for naps (it’s the only thing that works when she’s resisting a nap)

We had the one on the left. Wouldn't recommend honestly. Babies were uncomfortable in it before they could sit up by themselves so we didn't use it, then once they could they kept trying to escape it. The activity tray it comes with is marvellous and both kids loved it but not worth the price just for that!

@ecossegirl91 my 10 month old still loves her Bjorn! I don’t like putting her in her high chair unless we’re eating so it’s still really useful. You can use them until 13kg/2 years old. Pick up a second hand one 🙂
