Omeprazole and anti reflux milk

Hey, my 11 week old has been prescribed omeprazole for reflux. However, I wasn’t told if I should continue using the anti reflux milk which is thickened or go back to using normal. What did everyone else do? Tia

I'd carry on with the milk you've been using for now. Have they said what might be causing the reflux like Tongue Tie or CMPA?

No, there seems to be no obvious reason. The omeprazole has helped with the spit up and vomiting, pain and unsettledness. But he seems to be quite phlegmy now instead and he had to cough to clear it, you can hear the rattling of the “phlegm” in his throat etc when he is breathing. I was curious if this could be the use of the thicker milk in conjunction with the medication.

My son had omeprazole and carobel milk thickener at the same time.
the medicine will help with the pain but the thickener helps keep the milk down

That does sound like it could be CMPA. Did he have many of the symptoms in the link?
