How close to have calpol plug in?

7mo DS has a horrid cold and really congested, last few night have been tough taking it in shifts to keep him upright as he screamed when he was laid down!
He seems to be better tonight but keeps sleeping on his side which I think helps with the snot.
I heard good things about the calpol plug in so put one on next to his cot, about a foot away from the head of his cot. He wriggles to the top of the cot very quickly but it’s the only plug socket available in the room.
Is this too close to him/his head/the cot? I’m irrationally panicking that I should be sleeping in there with him whilst it’s on, or that it’s too close to his head and will make him ill?!

It's no different from a humidifier, it's just got some aromatic oils in it. I wouldn't be worried about him being close to it, the vapour will just float around and he'll inhale it. Sounds good to me !

Mine has hers right next to her cot, door shut and it fills the room so wouldn't really matter where it was because it's pretty strong everywhere in her room. But it's the best thing ever, kicks her cold in two nights tops. I also use it when I have a cold haha
