I have an 11 month old daughter and so far every new 'phase' of her life has been my favourite! I've heard many parents say this so I was just wondering...when does it stop?? Lol. I guess I'm just asking what people's absolute favourite age/stage? Just a light hearted one x

I have nearly 4 year twins, from 18 months - 3.5 at times it was pretty hellish. Just so unbelievably hard, enjoyable too.

i loved the 6 month old stage, such a sweet spot, but have to say I do love the nearly 4 year old stage top, my favourite so far I think

I loved it once their personality started coming out more and they could communicate a bit better at 2 - 2.5. Made life a lot easier 🤣 and they make me laugh everyday. I found the newborn stage a bit boring 😂

30ish?

I’ve really enjoyed 2-3. Toddlers are absolutely brutal but hilarious - they completely lack any kind of self awareness, are entitled and have no manners. But if you can see the funny side it’s a laugh a minute. DD (3) was complaining yesterday that we don’t wash our car enough and it’s embarrassing her in the nursery car park Hmm

Mumof1andacat · 16/02/2023 23:27

So far 8-10yrs I have enjoyed

Rogue1001MNer · 16/02/2023 23:31

I agree with you, OP!

Personally, never loved her more than I do now.
She's 21.
Hated earliest babystage.
Worked for me once some language came through.
Then it got better and better

WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps · 16/02/2023 23:33

4-ish to 15 years old. Best years ever with my amazing DD. Smile 16 to 21-ish was 'challenging........... ' 22+ has been amazing. (She is late 20s now!) Grin She is one of my best friends and we have so much fun together!

WhisperingAutistic · 16/02/2023 23:47

Newborn for me
They smell wonderful
It goes far too fast though

AzureOrchid · 16/02/2023 23:48

From 4 or 5 onwards
They are fully able to everything themselves and also have lovely conversations

Zippidydoda · 16/02/2023 23:49

Mine are 6 and 8. Love their age. It’s quite surprised me how much fun it gets as they get older. I didn’t enjoy them as small babies at all, I loved the cuddles but found it all so tiring.

YourUserNameMustBeAtLeast3Characters · 16/02/2023 23:50

Age 5. Still cute and crazy and funny, but less likely to try and kill themselves if you turn your back for 2 seconds vs a toddler.

AzureOrchid · 16/02/2023 23:50

( I have older pre teens too and that is NOT enjoyable, the lovely early years of conversation are bliss , there is no confrontation)

Zola1 · 16/02/2023 23:50

1 to 4 then 8 to 10

1 to 4 then 8 to 10

Ha ha yes

UsingChangeofName · 16/02/2023 23:51

Mine are young adults - in their 20s. I am loving it.

But I really liked the teen years too, unlike so many on here.

HippeePrincess · 16/02/2023 23:52

the newborn cuddles!

PandaG · 16/02/2023 23:53

I've loved every stage more than the last, and I adore newborns! They are adults now, and most of the time spending time together is a delight. Had some bumps along the way of course, but even in their teens there were times to enjoy, especially when they start recommending authors or TV programmes to share, or do the cooking, or more recently take you out for dinner and make you cocktails!

I've also really enjoyed being an aunt, and doing fun stuff with small children again

chronictonic · 17/02/2023 07:52

I swear every age is the best at the time. Mine is nearly 10 now.

DragonbornMum · 17/02/2023 08:56

Have an 18 mo: I've loved every stage so far (except months 6-8), but I think the bigger and more communicative he gets, the more I'm enjoying his company. I found the first year really difficult because we couldn't communicate at all except for cuddles.

I love seeing his little personality emerge now though. Can't wait for him to have a few more words!

Peaplant20 · 18/02/2023 08:11

I’m the same as you, at 20months now :)

Pinkmagic1 · 18/02/2023 08:16

From around 4-10. Teenagers are the spawn of Satan!

crossstitchingnana · 18/02/2023 08:16

1-3 for me. It's all those firsts that I love.

TheaBrandt · 18/02/2023 08:17

6

Unexpecteddrivinginstructor · 18/02/2023 08:21

I love the teen years, especially when they are finding their own path in life and seeing their passion and enthusiasm.
