Besides solids, how many bottles and oz per bottle do you give your 10 and half month old in 24 hours

Mine had 2 by that age - am and pm
Think its about 400mls that's recommended between 10 and 12 months

I know the box of formula is only a guide but why does it say between 7 and 12 months, 3 bottles at 7oz per day which is 630ml

Don't know. I am just going by the nhs site that says 400mls.

At 11m mine gets 3 bottles a day.
One on waking, one for PM nap and one for bed.
I give her more if she looks like she wants it or of she goes for a morning nap.

She is a good eater but def gets more than 400ml 😂

2 9-10oz bottles morning before nap and at night before bed. Same now at 13 months but it's 8oz each time. :)

I think mine was still getting 3-4 7oz bottles at that age. He was eating solids well but had always been a hungry baby who drank more than what the formula box said.

He is now one and has dropped to 1-2. This has coincided with starting nursery and having more regular snacks during the day.

PritiPatelsMaker · 17/02/2023 08:34

The recommended amount is definitely 400 mls between 10 and 12 months Wink

My daughter was on 3 bottles until 15 months, on wake up, after lunch and then bedtime. Think 8oz on waking and bedtime, and 6oz after lunch. She was ill a lot after starting nursery and would go off her food, so kept the lunch bottle longer partly due to that. And think upped to 9-10oz bottles then for morning and evening anyway, does love her milk haha.

Think we gradually reduced the lunch milk to 4oz then swapped to a yogurt pot.
And eventually reduced the others (morning first) so now on 5oz morning and evening from a straw cup at 2y+.
She also always had more than the recommended on the box/guidance.

I wouldn't worry too much as long as they have a varied diet with decent sources of iron (the concern is that too much milk can impair iron absorption).

Mine had 3x6oz a day at that age.

My babies didn't have bottles at that age, they used sippy cups (i bf my daughter til she was one, but she was on solids and cup by then). So, no idea. I think you can get too concerned about how much this or that.
