Hi, I'm looking for some advice from a woman's perspective. Me and my partner had a baby a few weeks ago everything was fine till then. Once she got home, she started pushing me away and didn't want any help and didn't want me to be around. We don't live together as she has children from a previous relationship and so do I so isn't enough room for us all. so the days and nights I'd normally come around see her and baby started saying don't come tonight, not in the mood and some weeks I've only seen them once. Fast forward to this week, she sends me a message saying I still love you but not in love with you you can still come to see the baby a few hours a week but I don't want you on the birth certificate as his father or him having your surname and for the time being and that she needs time and doesn't want our relationship to end wants and to see where it goes. At minute feels like I'm getting punished for not being allowed to be on the birth certificate or not be given a lot of time to be with our son to bond with him properly. The only thing I've been trying to do is be supportive and provide for them. So what does this mean? Does she just need time and space, or is it to with her hormones being all over the place or is our relationship over?

It could be hormones. Those first few weeks are challenging. But it does sound like she's no longer interested. My partner drives me insane and we were distant but we knew it was a phase and would work through it. It doesn't sound like normal behaviour from her if I'm honest. Maybe you need to just get sokr explanations about why she's feeling this way instead of just saying no sorry I'm not in the mood.
