Doona Car seat as a pram?

Hi, I wonder if anyone had experience using the popular Doona Car seat as a pram? At first I thought it would be a good idea to get one, but then read that a baby shouldn't be in a car seat for longer than an hour or 2. So how is the Doona useful when driving and going shops etc if we can't leave them in long? Or is the Doona designed to keep the baby inside the pram for longer? Is it better to just get a normal car seat and use a separate pram? Interested to know the pros/cons.

Thanks!

I have a doona and love it. It's not for extended walks for hours at a time but for a quick trip to the shop (10 mins in car with 30 mins inside) it's great. Can get the whole thing done without waking baby.

It does have cons though - no storage tray and really heavy. However it steers really well one-handed.
