Very weird sickness bug?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone else’s children have had a weird bug or if we should be worried. Last weekend, my toddler had a sickness bug which involved him being fine in the day and then being sick at night for a couple of nights, followed by a random vomit at nursery on Thursday.

My 4 year old has vomited every evening/night since Thursday (this is night 5). He’s fine in the day, bar a reduced appetite and a bit of a funny poo. We are abroad at the moment so just trying to decide if we should consider coming home. Should we wait it out or could the vomiting be a sign of something more to worry about?

Thank you so much x

Food poisining? Are they drinking bottled water only? Do you have travel insurance? Probably stupid questions but trying to rule anything out.

My son had very similar a couple of weeks ago. He was sick at night/evening. Then usually sick first thing and then ok until evening (fine other than reduced appetite). This lasted 4 days.

Thank you both!

@Kate8990 we have been in France since Saturday so the vomiting started before we came. Good point about bottled water - maybe will stick to bottled until his tummy is better. We do have travel insurance.

@bettynutkins im sorry your son had something similar. Thank you so much for sharing. Maybe it is something going around.

My toddler last week had been absolutely fine during the day, practically their normal self, then randomly sick in the evening/night, for a few days.

@FlowerTink thank you. I’m sorry to hear your little one was poorly but it’s reassuring that to hear that they were better in a few days.

I have caught it now so I think it must be a bug! He’s been sick again this morning after having a big breakfast so I think we are going to stick to toast/crackers and water until his tummy is better.
