Allergic reaction to peanuts?

So DD1 who is 4yrs old has got hives on her face and is itching them like crazy. I applied coconut oil and it seems to have helped. Have been trying to think of any change in her diet or what I applied on her skin today. She had some peanut butter (she has always had peanuts in her diet since she was a year old). Can she suddenly develop peanut allergy????

Also I just remember I gave her a bath with Childsfarm Sensitive baby wash which I use for dd2 who is 9mo. Dd1 uses Aveeno but I ran out of stock and had to use the Childsfarm (which is also for sensitive skin though).

Is it peanuts or the bodywash? She’s been to the neighbour’s house to play with kids she told me she had a fruit shoot and some chips(no idea which brand). But she’s never had an allergic reaction to date!

You can develop an allergy to anything, at any time. You need to figure out everything she's eaten or touched, in case it happens again, so you can cross reference your notes. I'm glad she's OK now!

Could well be the child's farm. Makes my son itchy and get a rash.

It could be either of those things or it could be something like viral urticaria and completely unrelated. Difficult to tell unless it happens again. Do you have piriton in the house? Any sign of anaphylaxis and seek urgent medical attention.

@Cosysocksallyear she’s asleep now. Her face is red but the hives have calmed down. Yes I have piriton at home(thanks for reminding me).
