My almost 3 year old tripped and fell head first into a book shelf this evening, I saw it happen from across the room but from the other side so I didn’t see the actual contact, he sobbed and sobbed which is unlike him, he calmed within 3-4 minutes however he’s got a small lump on the side of his head, it’s towards the back of the side of his head if that makes sense, and it’s almost like a circle. He’s got mounds of hair so I can’t see much.
We’ve dealt with egg shaped forehead lumps I’m feeling really out of my depth with this, it was over 3 hours ago now and he’s seemed okay since, he’s eaten and played but has complained when we’ve got him undressed and dressed when stuff has gone over the lump.
Are side lumps the same as the egg shaped lumps? I’ve never ever known the side of the head to grow a lump after fall.
