Wondering what people's days are like with 3mo. I also have a toddler.

I have a 4 month old and a nearly 3 year old and we don't have much of a routine yet! My eldest goes to nursery 3 days a week so on the days it's just me and the baby we mostly chill at home. She has fallen into a bit of a schedule with her feeds (bottle fed, roughly 7, 10, 1, 4, 7 and 10) and she sleeps on and off in between feeds, sometimes only for 20 minutes or so but like now she has slept through her 1 o'clock feed and I'm just going with it. As they need to be in with you for all naps until 6 months I'm not going to worry about putting her down for naps at a set time until then. Particularly as there will be so much else going on with weaning, learning to sit up, crawl etc. As I also have a toddler I have to be pretty chilled with routine as it would be impossible to stick to without being housebound and it's unfair on my eldest to stay in all the time because the baby needs to nap!

I have a two year old and a 12 weeks old, no routine here yet. 2 yo doesn't go to nursery yet so I have them both all day. Baby is EBF and still eats and sleeps on a very ad hoc basis. He stays up with me and DH until I go to bed at about 9-10pm. I can't really get my head around how to get him in a routine with the 2yo around to be honest! I'm hoping it will just happen naturally...

Hey, I have a 3.5 month old DD. We pretty much have a good routine going in terms of feed times, nap times etc. We do different bits the odd day but for the most part, we’re in a good routine and she has a good sleeping pattern at night, too! It’s great

I have a 5 month old so I'm a little ahead of you but we have had this routine for about 3 months now. Bottles are 8,12,4 and 7.30. Has about a 2.5 hour awake window then a 2 hour nap ish. Bed at 8pm, no naps after 6!

Thanks for your replies! Interesting to read what others are like 😊
I currently don't have any routine so to speak, and my 2yo is still at home with me full time. He's starting nursery in a few weeks for a couple sessions a week so I'm hoping things will fall into place a bit then!

No real routine here. Baby gets up same time as toddler as ends up getting woken up. Toddler doesn't nap anymore. She has meals and bedtime at similar times each day so that gives out day structure. Baby just goes along with it. Baby naps in sling, car, pushchair, on me, in cot depending on where we are and what we are doing. With the baby I am quite able to recognise when tired and will make sure he is in a situation he can sleep. He tends to have 30-40 min naps and I couldn't tell you exactly how many. He tends to sleep on me while I watch telly on an evening till I go to bed but we are experimenting with putting him down in the moses basket more. I am breastfeeding so that is just on demand.
