My niece lives in Australia, and is around the same age as my daughter, who is 9.
They would like to be able to chat to each other using text - this is more practical than calling, given the time differences.
My daughter uses Skype chat to chat to her friends, but my brother doesn't use this.
We're looking for a safe app that they can use to chat to each other. I don't want any strangers to be able to contact them, and I want to be able to see what they're sending. Can anyone recommend an app? There seems to be lots of options but I'm sure many of them are dodgy in terms of gathering personal data on kids.
