Teenage behaviour

I’m at my wits end with my two teenage girls. There is constantly a drama at school. They have been getting bullied by a group of girls so we’ve had a lot of incidents with that, me emailing the school and trying to sort it out and then today one daughter has hit a boy at school for calling her names and been suspended!

They are also getting detentions for talking in class/being late/forgetting uniform. They are generally good at home but seems like there is always issues at school and I just don’t know what to do anymore. We remove phones for bad behaviour at school and reward good behaviour with pocket money. Just feel like every day there’s another issue to deal with and feel I’m going wrong somewhere 😔.

No sage advice op - just a nod of solidarity- I can't bear the utter shite drama fests that seem to follow around my dd either. Much like you I've been trying manage it but they don't come with a bloody manual do they! This too shall pass!

I’m going through the same with my daughter! There’s always some issue or another with her and school and other people. It’s happening so much that I can’t help but think she’s part of the problem
now! It’s driving me mad. Like you, I’m always emailing the school, having to go in. It’s draining. I also remove phone for bad behaviour in school as I feel like it’s the only thing that bothers her. Not sure what else to do! It’s a rough age isn’t it..

It’s nice to hear I’m not the only one, although I’m sorry you’re going through it too. I think phones and social media are playing a massive part in teenage bickering/drama and mental health. It’s hard to know what to do though as if you don’t allow them on it they get left out of friendships, you let them on it and there is all the drama that comes with it! I do feel for the poor teachers in all this too!

Fingers crossed we’re still sane at the end of it! 🙈😂

just keep doing what you are doing.... reinforce the good, punish the bad, back up the school.... it will all come out in the wash
