Over the last 3 months I weaned my 2 year old DD off her dummy starting during the day and then in the last week we have dropped it completely as she has an extreme dummy mouth (can't fit my finger thru her front teeth while she's biting down the gaps that big!) However she's now decided to suck and chew on every t-shirt or jumper she wears, she starts off at the collar until its soaked to her belly button then the sleeves then the bottom so it joins up with the wet patch at the collar.
I've tried giving her a bib to wear to suck and chew on which she was happy with but a family member commented on it and said "why you wearing a bib that's for babies" and I think she felt humiliated and now won't wear one.
Has this happened to anyone else and do you have any suggestions on how to stop her soaking her clothes as it makes her soo cold!! I've tried telling her not to but she's doing it in her bed while going to sleep everywhere, and she doesn't listen anyway! I've also tried giving her a muslin and told her to use that instead but she just wraps her babies up in it. All suggestions welcome

Google 'chew necklace' and it should bring up the sort of thing you need.
