My DD is 15, she's a good kid behaviour wise she's great, has a bit of a attitude/moodiness from time to time but who doesn't!
My problem is, I have to remind her constantly to do the most basic of tasks, like eating, drinking, washing, washing her hair etc. Obviously I make her main meals but if she's left to sort her own breakfast/lunch it just doesn't happen (and its not for lack of food in the house, I do a weekly shop with plenty of options)
Is this normal teen behaviour? I've tried stepping back and not reminding her but she will go weeks without cleaning herself, all day without having a drink (literally doesn't feel thirst!) and if I don't make her food she just wanders around the kitchen not knowing what to have, not been able to make a decision or follow through on making something, even a quick sandwich.
I'm starting to think she has ADHD, or am I dramatising normal teen behaviour?
