When did your LO drop to one nap?

My little boy is 11 months in 5 days. He’s always been a good sleeper and wakes up normally around 7.45am, sometimes earlier and goes to bed at 7 so is at least getting 12 hours sleep a night.

His wake windows are now getting longer and I’ve noticed he can go around 3.5 hours in the morning before getting tired. Today he went to sleep at 11.15 and woke at 1, following which he had his lunch.

Given how late he woke we weren’t able to get him down for a second nap so he went to bed at 6.30pm.

I read that at 11 months old they normally need only around 13.5 hours sleep in a 24 hour period and he’s definitely getting more than this. Does this sound like he’s ready to drop his second nap and so the timings seem right? He seemed alright being awake for the afternoon and didn’t seem overtired.

DS was 13 months when he dropped to 1 nap, at first it was hell and that 1 nap wasn't long enough, bedtime was all over the place etc but after a few weeks he lengthened the 1 nap and started taking a 2 hour nap for that 1 nap. His routine is pretty solid now at 18 months, wakes at 8am, nap at 1-3 and bedtime at 8.30pm
