Sleeping bag tog help?

Hi all,

Baby girl is approaching 4 months old.

I want to start using a sleeping bag now that she's a bit sturdy and is getting bigger.

I'm totally confused by the whole tog thing...
I've just bought a 1.5 tog and I'm thinking I may have bought the wrong one?

Can I still use this one till she's six months? Temp of our room can range from 16-20 degrees depending what temp I set the room at.

Or should I get another?

I think you'll need a 2.5 tog until the warmer weather comes in.

Mine is in a 2.5 tog with short sleeved vest and long sleeved/legged PJ's at the moment. His room is about 18 degrees on average.

I sometimes use the 1.5togs we have for nap times when he's wearing more clothes though so you may get use out of it!

Yes probably 2.5 tog for winter, then 1.5 for spring and 1 or nothing for summer depending on how hot it is. Mine is currently in a 3.5 with sleeves as our room is basically Siberia!! (Around 12 degrees overnight)

Yeah 2.5tog at the minute I'd say. I only use 1.5tog when it's really quite warm outside and therefore inside too. Or sometimes when they're older but still napping I'd put a 1 tog on over their clothes.

We don't have the heating on overnight and we have our toddler in a 3.5 tog with no sleeves and a regular sleepsuit (no vest under the sleepsuit). Room starts off about 18 degrees and gets cooler. Feel she wakes cold in a 2.5 tog.
