Baby wanting to play with toddler’s toys

I have a 16 month age gap, my youngest is 9
months and has started crawling. He is into everything as all babies are. DD has just got to the age she is playing with play sets, she loves her peppa pig figures. They are much smaller than happy land figures and I just worry about choking. DD I always supervise with as she is young too but DS is not wanting to play with any of his toys and just heading straight for DDs. He adores her and desperately wants to play but it at the stage everything goes straight in his mouth.
Any advice? We do a lot of playing together with age appropriate toys for them both so DD does share normally.

You have to remove the small choking type figures to another room or a box which can only be opened under direct supervision. We have had to do this with small bits and Lego. Just do a sweep of the toys when toddler not aware then when she asks for them get them out and supervise then pop them back in the box after use.
