Throwing doll out of cot?

LO 16M has a doll she sleeps with but recently she has started throwing it deliberately out the cot during the night 2-3 times
She won't sleep without it... so inevitably I have to go and return it, walk in, put it back, walk out. I don't speak to her or or touch her and she falls back asleep fine.

But it's rather annoying....
Any experience or advice on this?

It's an attention game. Ride it out and don't play.

Change her to a toddler bed so she can get it herself? I'm sure my DD was about this age when we switched to a toddler bed, as she had worked out how to climb out of her cot, and the mattress was already as low as it went, and I was worried she would hurt herself if she fell while climbing.

Deliberate game!

Yep. Very much a game. No advice... After a while I stop picking it up and just leave the toy on the floor! But my DS will sleep without the toy (annoyingly not without me however 🤣)!

Good game you're playing it well. Others will play can't find the dummy....infuriating but normal maybe work on napping without it then doing at night if it's really a problem
