DS has a Globber Elite Prime it folds, is height adjustable, has flashing wheels and flashing lights on the front, the handlebar can be locked and unlocked for steering once they’ve got the hang of it. Is nice and robust and has a rear brake think it will last a good while. Plum play has 20% off at the minute too.

My two, and every other child in our town in seems, has a Micro scooter. Can't fault it, DD1 has had for 3 years and it's still going strong.

We have 2 of these for our 4 and 6 year olds, they're great and do everything that the expensive ones do

Thank you all for your recommendations! I noticed some say 3-5 for age range and I was hoping an adjustable one might last a bit longer? 4 Yo is 75th centile, not small for age, would like to last a year or two!

Micro scooter all the way. My two boys have one and they are great. In fact every kid I know who has a scooter has one!

SmallElephants · 01/02/2023 09:03

globber do one that is height adjustable I needed to seek out ones for a taller child and that’s what I settled on. U need to check their age ranges against your predicted centile heights. Till he is 6/maybe 7. But stick to the 3 wheel options for a just turning 4 yr old.

We went straight to a two wheeler at 4. The micro sprite. DS took to it quickly. It folds so we can take it with us in the car. He uses it most days now at 6.

Chimna · 01/02/2023 09:09

To add he did already know how to ride a 3 wheeler! Previous to that he had a £10 one from Aldi.
