When will the poos stop

Background: one yr old has CMPA. Not yet embarked on the dairy ladder.

Almost 3 weeks ago we had a gastro bug cone through the house like the hurricane you would expect. Baby first (thank you nursery) then me, then DH. Me and DH are well recovered, DD is STILL doing awful poos. Pungent, semi loose, frequent bum burners. Yesterday she did 4 before midday. Spoke with GP on day ten, advised to wait it out. Rung again day 17 and could not get an appt. We are almost day 21 now. I've just started probiotics (optibac) and offering lots of carbs? (Is that the right thing?). If it is post viral, what else can I do for her? HELP!

To add: poo is full of mucus.

Sounds rough, poor Dd.

Yes to probiotics. I’m sure you already are but double check absolutely nothing has milk proteins/lactose in.

Can you afford a private appointment? You’d likely be sorted by the end of the week rather than waiting weeks for NHS.

Does she have a dietitian? I would be suspecting she has developed another allergy.

How old is she? Is she ff or bf?

@Ostryga have been scrutinising labels but I am going to ask nursery to do the same. They obviously know she has CMPA but it's one to chase. Also (sadly) agree with private appt. One to think about going in to next week

@Sucessinthenewyear she does have a dietician. Have emailed over photos and wondered should we eliminate wheat? It's the only key allergen she has. Not keen on eggs and has never had soya.

@Sucessinthenewyear she is 13months. Was BF until 4m, weaned on to neocate and now on growing up oat milk. The nutritional profile is actually surprisingly comprehensive. Coupled with a very generous bowl of ready brek and daily baby vitamins she makes up for the lack of calcium from cows milk.

There is lots of soya in other products. If she has bread at nursery it will contain soya.
