Who else has the baby that screams the loudest?

I am certain that my baby (5mo) screams the loudest out of any that I know.

For a while I thought I was just being paranoid but I’m still yet to hear any other babies in the groups I go to scream louder than DD. One toddler once but no babies.

Went out with group of mums this afternoon and DD screamed the place down (nap refuser). Had a couple of winces and a few sympathetic smiles so it’s not like anyone complained but still stressful!

The screams of your own baby sound louder to you though. It's some sort of cruel evolutionary thing I think!

Oh this is my second, 6 months old. Everyone tells me seconds are louder but my god its deafening, even when he's happy he's bellowing like Brian Blessed.
Feel like i might need a hearing test some day soon!

Oh yes! We have a loud baby. I’ve had paediatrician wince at how loud he is, had people stare at me and comment whilst he screamed on the train when my partner was changing him in the toilets and even had people literally tell me he is the loudest baby they’ve ever heard 😅. When he was born and we had to stay on the ward afterwards (he was absolutely fine it was me that needed time to recover) he woke all the other newborns up constantly with how loud he was.
I know they say you think your baby is the loudest but I honestly think I’ve yet to come across another baby that is as loud as mine. I like to think he’s just passionate but yes it can be very stressful and makes me anxious! I don’t just think people are staring, I can see they are! Haha

one of my children, as a baby was so loud they were mistaken for an emergency evacuation siren, while we were on holidays.

the hospital said it was the loudest baby cry they had ever heard. some babies have a loud cry some don’t. All my other children had quiet cries, thank god

@TheAustralian omg I’m sorry I burst out laughing at the evacuation siren part! I can completely relate.

My 8 week old was 6 weeks prem, so is still teeny tiny. She still manages to scream the house down! Sometimes with a very ear piercing scream (that's gas!) Or with a WAH. WAH. WAH. that's anger/ hunger. It's crazy
