Pram Straps

Hi All,

I was out shopping last weekend and stupidly put the pram down flat while the LO was still in without adjusting the straps first. While I lifted it back up again I’m worried that could have hurt him as it was tight on the stomach/crotch area and he did cry for a short period before falling asleep. He’s 5 months old, has anyone else had similar experience?

If it did catch your baby i'd put it in the category of mild discomfort, not something to be worried about a week later. Babies are also very padded in the nappy area which whlill protect them

I wouldn't give it a second thought - is this just a passing query or is it taking over your day worrying about it?

It didn’t catch him, feel I’m just paranoid about it possibly causing discomfort internally etc. Thanks for the reply

2 kids and I’ve never adjusted pram straps to go from reclined to upright. Sorry but I’m struggling to know what you mean. You want a snug fit to keep them secure and their body size doesn’t change?! And a nappy means there’s lots of padding around the crotch too. I hope everything is ok because, and I mean this nicely, this is a total non issue.

I think this depends on the pram, the way ours reclines you need to adjust the straps (joie) otherwise it doesn't go down properly but I've forgotten a few times and DD didn't seem to struggle?! I agree this would maybe give them mild discomfort and if there's no red marks I would just forget it and move on. It might have pinched a bit but no long term harm
