3 year old absolutely hating bath time

My 3 year old DD is massively kicking off at bath time recently. Hysterical screaming and crying and doesn't want to get in. Once I've forced her in and she's playing with her toys, she's fine.

Until I have to wash her hair, which she has always hated so much.

Drying her hair is a challenge too. She just hates it so much and brushing it every day is a massive issue for her as well.

I don't know what to do. Any advice appreciated, it's such a struggle and she genuinely looks terrified.

I am so gentle and careful, but nothing helps !

Can you get one of those caps so the water doesn't go in her eyes when you rinse it?

I'd also ditch brushing it and instead just lots of conditioner and wide tooth comb when wet. If it's long, plait it to keep the tangles at bay and just run fingers through it each morning.

Do you use a hair dryer? You could just pop it into a hair towel (that has a fastening to keep it up) and just leave it to dry naturally.

My eldest went through this- we switched to showers- now 5 she loves a bath but now I prefer the speed of showers so a bath is a once the week treat.
As for drying- brush when wet and covered in conditioner, will make it much less knotty once out the bath.
