Is this weird of me

So growing up I have been in a family who had a weird habit of “oh get that and put it away!” So for example Christmas jumpers in January sale? Get it and put it away! My mum would do it with wrapping paper and cards too😂

I just seen a multipack of these lovely babygrows for baby girls, then the boy set.

For some background, my DS (1st child and only currently) turned one in December. We don’t plan on another until he’s around 3, so I would be trying earliest this December !

…. I bought the babygrows. A girl and a boy pack and thought I’ll put them away and whatever the baby is, I’ll donate the others to charity or give to a friend/family member if their having a baby that sex at that time.

however now I feel really weird and is this just odd of me? I am excited to have another LO again , just financially we couldn’t before DS gets free nursery hours

It is weird to get the baby grows, sort of tempting fate.
Not weird putting the other stuff away though.

I don't think the wrapping paper/cards one is weird, I think most people do that.

The baby grow one is a bit odd though. It doesn't make good sense because you'll need to store them for quite a long time, you may never get use out of them and it doesn't make financial sense either.

But if you like buying ahead then it's fine obviously! Nothing wrong with it.

Saying ‘I just seen’ is far weirder.

I get stuff for my children in the next size up if if I spotted a cute Christmas jumper for next year.

I would not buy clothes for a not yet conceived child.

I couldn't, you never know if you'll be lucky enough to conceive, I couldn't tempt fate and presume I would be lucky enough but each to their own :-)
