I see breastfeeding can help prevent, but does anyone know why?
also what age does the risk decrease?
why as adults we are told to avoid back sleeping and if you were sick as adult you’d want to avoid back as more likely to choke but babies best being on back? My. 4 week old always rolls onto her side..

is there a way to sleep with baby safely in bed i know blankets/pillows avoid but is there anything about mother laying on side with her arm supporting baby..

Lullaby trust has the best info on all this in my experience, everyone on here will have different opinions on what’s best and there’s a lot of misinformation out there.

Basis have some good, evidence based information here which includes links to the research.
