How long for first molars to come through?

Ds is getting the top two first molars. Currently about a quarter of each is through and that has taken nearly a week. Anyone know how long they might take to come fully through? And did anyone else find that sleep was bad during this? Thanks!

My son took about a month for the last tip to break though. And yeah, sleep going to shit
