Anyone got any experience with baby reflux?

My baby has had it bad since birth. She’s 17 weeks now, From around 8 weeks old she’s been on baby gaviscon which changed our lives for a while but now she’s getting bigger and milks increasing the gaviscon isn’t doing the trick anymore!

It’s also making her really constipated.

Last few weeks she’s really went off her milk cause of it 😞 Only taking 2oz at a time and bringing it back up.

My baby is 4 weeks old and has started vomiting after most feeds for past 2 days. It's really forceful vomit like the stomach is contracting to eject its contents. The vomit comes out with such force it can travel a good distance (maybe a foot.) I wonder if this could be reflux? Or is reflux less of a forceful vomiting and more just splurgey overflow?

( We have seen a doctor today just to check baby is ok )

My daughter had really bad reflux when she was a baby. I didn’t go down the route of baby Gaviscon or Ranitidine (withdrawn) but I just used to pack a change of clothes for her and a change of clothes for me wherever we were going. It’s not very nice, but she never seemed distressed on bringing up milk - just hated being laid down so I carried her everywhere instead.

if it helps, it all changes once they can sit up for themselves - it was a welcome end of a very long road for us.

My experience with reflux was that it wasn’t projectile vomiting, which is what it sounds like you are describing. With reflux you’d barely notice if you weren’t looking her way… and then you’d be covered.
