Feeling strange after giving birth

This was a few years ago now after having my 2 little ones, but did anyone feel strange after arriving at home after giving birth? I am not in the UK and here you stay in hospital for 2 or 3 days, then get sent home. In hospital I felt fine, but on the way home the first time I felt like I wasn't in my own body. The second time, I arrived home and this time when I spoke it didn't feel like me that was speaking. These feelings lasted only a few days, then went away, but was wondering if anyone could explain.

I start to feel that kind of disassociation any time I'm exhausted and giving birth is definitely exhausting. So I'd imagine that played a big part.

For me with DC1 I also had issues with my blood pressure pinging up and down for a couple of weeks till I got the medication dose right. That definitely made me feel dizzy, brain foggy and ramped up the dissociation levels too.

Yes, could have been some kind of exhaustion. I was also thinking some kind of great feeling being very overwhelmed, I don't know!
