DD dad drops responsibility when it suits.

My 9 year old DD dad and I have been apart over 3 years. He’s become increasingly difficult regarding having his daughter.
he just told me he can’t have her after school Friday. Told me I’ll have to sort it, or change my work. I do work for myself but I can’t mess clients about. He’s basically telling me it’s my problem. I told him I sort childcare in my time, he should in his.
Hes always had her after school until 6pm on my weekend, so he gets to see her. I just don’t like the way he thinks he can drop me in it.
Any ideas how I can try and get through to him that he has responsibility.
if he’d have asked if it would be possible that I could arrange childcare or collect her, I may have taken it better.
