Do you think I should get a potty? She is very young and I am not in a hurry but if she is able to tell me, maybe I should give it a go? What do you think?

Go for it.

We potty our 17th month old DD, we started when she was 10 weeks old !!!

Encourage it, but certainly don't try to force it. It may have just been a one off or coincidence and it's very hard to potty train when they can't properly communicate with you.

Thanks Babieseverywhere. I was so suprised when she said and then did it. I have been talking to her when I notice she is doing a poo, telling the word so I guess she has understood the link.
I don't want to go too fast but I guess I'll give it a go.

No, really don't want to force it at all. I wasn't planning on even trying for another year!

go for it. My 19 month old is getting really good using hte potty now - she definatly knows it is coming - I am just not quick enough alot of the time. There is no harm as long as you don;t make it a stress for her.

clever little cookie saying poopoo before doing a poo!

Babies know a lot more than we give them credit for

We introduced BSL sign for toilet and she used that sign back to us from a fairly young age.
