8 week vaccinations side effects

Hi all,

My little one had her 8 week vaccinations on Thursday morning. All seemed fine for Thursday and the majority of Friday apart from her being more sleepy and some runny poos.

However since yesterday she's been so unsettled and this is especially so when pooing and feeding. It reminds me a bit of when she was smaller and she found it really hard to poo. She's straining and shrieking and making all sorts of horrible distressing noises. When she does poo its more mucousy and was green yesterday but yellow again today. She's also sometimes crying when feeding.

I'm not sure if this is a normal side effect of her vaccinations (specifically the rotavirus one) or whether I should be worried? She's her normal self otherwise, still sleeping well and smiling in her wake periods.

Also, I have looked at intussusception and I don't think it's that as she has none of the symptoms?

Anyone else's baby really unhappy after their vaccinations? I want my happy baby back ☹️

Yes my DD was like this with her first ones, unsettled on and off for 3-4 days. She's just had her second lot and was better this time around. The 16 week ones are supposed to be a bit crap again.

@annlee3817 so glad to hear your little one was better with the second set! I'll keep an eye on her then but hopefully this passes soon. She does seem a bit better today, just horrible seeing her in discomfort!

My little one seems better now thank you, we've had a good afternoon and hoping she'll sleep better tonight!
