2 year old sick and temperature

Hi everyone my son started acting not himself last night then he was sick hes been really warm and has a cough he has been sick another 4 times
he's temperature is 39 I got a bit of calpol into him earlier and it went down to 38.4 but its now back up to 39 I've got another bit of calpol into him it's really hard as he's autistic and hated taking medicine and knows when I put it in his eater
He's been on rhe sofa all day falling asleep amd waking up just miserable I feel so sorry for him
What temperature would I need to contact a doctor all advice would be great thank you

Hi, is he drinking at all? I'm not medic but my concern would be fluid intake rather than temperature. Have you tried nurofen as you can use that alternating between calpol to bring the temperature down. But I would ring 111 if you are worried. They are usually pretty good with getting back to you when a child is ill.

Yes he's been drinking I was just worried about his temperature as wasn't sure what's too high
