Hi

Does anyone know what shops besides Next and M&S sell sleep suits for babies with integrated mitts?

Thanks

I think most baby sizes have integrated mitts as standard don't they? Regardless of where there from. If not, I know John Lewis certainly do.

I think its all of them too, for the small sizes.

Are you pre-baby shopping? Because I really didn't find we needed mitts at all (unless on the pram suit in cold weather), the face scratching was widely over hyped in my opinion and I think they enjoy finding and investigating with their hands so seemed a little cruel.

I've never known a sleepsuit without integrated mitts. JL, all the supermarkets, primark... they all have mitts usually

This!!

I never used mitts, there were odd occasions where baby would scratch himself, but not as often as people made out & I didn't like the mitts - they use their hands to learn a lot, so it's good for their hands to be free. They should also have free hands when sleeping too x

Asda ones do x

Caspianberg · 12/01/2023 20:10

As above. Found them pointless.

Midwife also told us not to use them or baby scratch mittens as it prevents babies learning to control and feel own hands and face and develop senses. Only actual cold weather mittens for outside

Twizbe · 12/01/2023 20:11

Primark and sainsburys do as well.

They were useful for us but I had two winter babies (Jan and Feb) so they were easier than gloves in cold weather

FT123456 · 12/01/2023 20:12

As others have said, Asda, primark, sainsburys H&M they usually all have them on

Thank you all for your help x

Other than Next, I had a sleepsuit from Jojo maman bebe that had integrated mitts.

DD was born in winter so I used them as gloves, like PP.

PandaOrLion · 12/01/2023 21:20

DS hates having his hands covered but it seems most have them. We’ve got a few little bird or scion design ones from next who don’t have them though.

I agree about letting baby explore with their hands but keep their nails neat.

firsttimemama1994 · 13/01/2023 22:26

Re the comments about scratch mitts not being necessary, I thought the same and ditched them at 4 weeks old, deciding I would keep her nails neat instead.. which I did. Anyway we got really unlucky and she caught herself around 4/5 weeks and scratched herself which has left a little scar (shes now 8 months old) So wouldn't ditch mitts if that would upset you, I wish I didn't xx
