Before I make anyone jealous… bear with me.
DS 16mo keeps waking 5/5.30am and has done since about 8 months. I’ve now tried to drop his morning nap which he used to have around 9/9.30am for an hour or so. So he is just having one longer lunch nap at 12ish. Sometimes like yesterday though he will only sleep for 45 mins! So is getting very overtired.
He’s still waking at 5/5.30am most days but today for instance I left him for an hour as he was going in and out of sleep, he then went back to sleep at 6.45 ish and is still asleep now at 8.30am.
Am I making this worse by not giving him a regular wake up time? I’m worried this will affect his circadian rhythm and create more problems.
Will he eventually just sleep later? Should I just go with the flow?
