12 month sleep regression?

It’s by far the worst one for us

DS literally just turned 1

he goes down - after a struggle
4/5 hours later is awake for 2 hours unsettled sleepy just can’t get asleep

he never used to be like this

hes never slept through but he would go down easy once we cuddled him , he’d settle easy

any tips please ? So exhausted after his random 2 hour awake window he keeps waking at random times too😭😭😭

I’m so sad and lonely I’m just up all night and no one cares I’m supposed to go about my day as normal as if I’m not completely drained

I just keep crying

We had the same with my LO. It lasted on and off for a few weeks then her sleep went back to normal. We didn’t do anything different, just accepted it was a phase she was going through
it’s tough I know

No tips unfortunately but wanted to say I completely know how you feel. Over the last 2 weeks my 8 month old is suddenly up every 2 hours every night. I’m exhausted and often crying too. It’s so tough xx

Could he need less sleep in the daytime?

When my DS is going through wonky nighttimes it's often (but not always) because he's dropping a nap.

He’s just dropped to 1 nap so may it be this??

Most likely... My DS is almost 10mo and appears to be dropping his 2nd nap. I don't think he's quite ready but I'm having to go with it most days as he's refusing his 2nd nap (or it's getting so close to bedtime).

Nighttimes have been tricky but I'm hoping they'll settle in a couple of weeks.

We had this for quite a while. She's nearly 14 months now - just getting over the worst of it. Going to work on a couple of hours sleep is the worst - I have no choice; I'm on my own with her.
