How much baby milk formula is enough

My LO is nearly 8mo and weighs about 10kg / 22lbs. According to feeding guidelines he should be "on average taking in about 2½ ounces (75 mL) of infant formula a day for every pound (453g) of body weight" i.e. 1650ml, but he is only having a 120ml bottle 5-6 times a day and is often unable to finish the bottle. His daily formula intake can go from 300ml to 700ml. I breastfeed him only once a day.
He does not seem to have a problem in putting on weight, however, since we switched from breastfeeding to formula feeding about a month ago, he has dropped about a pound in weight but is still in a high percentage ( >80%) in proportion to his height.
I am keen to know how much other formula-fed babies drink?

I have once or twice but just tried to stick with colief, however I probably didn’t give it long enough.. what would you advise now moving forward in terms of measurements and medicine? I don’t want to keep causing him discomfort and I am also due to do his next feed at 10/30 x

U can give both together my I ask why u are giving the drops for u can always try tummy massage to that helps with trapped wind if it was me I would just give him cow and gate milk from now on and see if he's any better in a few days if not I would go back to gp and raise it with them x

Have you tried gripe water already? Or try using a different bottle luke mam anticolic one? Mine also went through a terrible phase at around weeks 6-10 he would just scream during bf and be in so much pain, there was nothing that we could do except trying to burp him as frequently as possible and it went away naturally after a few weeks. Speak to a health visitor perhaps if you are really worried.
