DC has no father figure, is this a good idea?

To get a male nanny? I want him to have some male influence. I won’t be in a relationship anytime soon.

if not a male nanny, any other ideas?

I wouldn't if he's under about 5, would be concerned about him getting too attached if he doesn't have another male figure to attach to.
I'd focus on him being around men eg relatives/dad's of friends etc, but not trying to build a substitute bond with a man who won't be there long term.
