Baby eating question!

my son used to have toast, didn’t like buttered! But had humus, avocado, peanut butter.

Recently? Since the start of December I’d say, he’s refusing all forms of bread. Even crumpets , English muffins etc.
it’s crazy he’s went on like a bread strike!😂

how can I get him back to this? I will admit I did toast the bread a lot while weaning as I randomly thought the soft bread would get stuck and make him choke (I was so anxious during weaning so forgive this absolutely not true stupid worry)

but yeah he throws it then will get stressed after a while! But it does throw out lunches a lot I used to do humus or avo on toast with some fruit and a low sugar yogurt

Just leave it, it doesn't matter if he's gone off toast and bread for a while. He'll start eating it again when he wants to.

I agree with PP. Just dont serve toast or bread for a while, maybe try the toppings on a rice cake or cracker instead?

My DD went mad for lunchbox malt loaves and had one a day for her snack for a few weeks and now downright refuses them. They just go through phases.

You don’t need to “get him back to this”. Just give other food.

Definitely just leave it!

Give him a break then try again when he had forgotten he doesn’t like it! As an alternative give him cereal, popcorn, oat cakes, rice cakes etc

Amazing title.

Bless you, what a pain in the arse. But everyone is right, you'll have to just abandon bread for a bit. Nightmare!
