DS is one and has started getting some back teeth recently (I can feel them , not fully through but at the edge!)

recently I’ve noticed when he has a moutb ful (so if I spoon feed him a meal , he eats solids) he will put his hand to his mouth bite it OR take a piece out and throw it????

Is this normal I’m assuming the first is because of teething but the 2nd bit is it just a random behaviour?

sincerely, a mum who’s finding random shit like stray kidney bean pieces and rice grains on her floor way after bedtime ! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yep. Just yesterday I found a piece of French toast in his toybox. Who knows how ling it had been there...

Yes taking bits of food out of their mouths is totally normal and developmentally appropriate I believe.

Do you always spoon feed? Maybe just try letting him at it with a spoon and his hands.
