Silly first timer wrap question!

I have very kindly been given a box of nappies/wraps for our LO due in April by a friend.

There is a mixture in there: mainly Ella's House (Hemp and Bumhuggers), Motherease Sandy's; and the odd Totsbot Bamboozle and Naturebaby Diddy Diper.

There were only 6 wraps and the smallest they go down to is 10lb.

Is it likely she had more wraps but sold them/passed tham on already? or do you not need wraps for some of those nappies? Sorry feeling a bit lost ATM!

If I do need to get wraps, am I right that most people say motherease are best? and will they fit with most nappies?

Thank you

Sounds like you have size 1 or small wraps. Some makes will do smaller size 0 or extra small wraps. All the nappies you describe will need wraps.

Bumhuggers are best for night time use.

Motherease will fit nicely over all the nappies you have.

The poppers ones are unbeatable, but some people like the velcro wraps because they're a bit slimmer.

You've got a fab selection btw!

They are all shaped nappies so require wraps - yes motherease are the most bomb proof but i find weenotions ones just as good if not a bit more luxurious and nature babies are good to. It sounds like you have been very lucky there.

mmmm...wee notions wraps are yummy - didn't want to tempt velbels so early on but the cat's out the bag now.....

Wee Notions

I found they don't work so well with Ella's House nappies though, but the others should be fine.

You wont need a wrap each time so dont go getting 19 wraps - i actually use my weenotions one ok with my bumhugger but regardlees everyone needs a treat!

oh they are nice I could get carried away!

How many wraps would you think for a newborn?

I have about 15 nappies that i can use from early on (others are larger sizes.) Will I need to buy a few more nappies too, due to how often I will need to change them?

Thank you for your help

If you wash everyday and use the tumble dryer on the odd ocassion you will be fine with 15, I would get 4 small wraps for 15 nappies, they will be in good condition when you have finished with them as your baby will prob only be in them for a little while so you could always sell the on

The Motherease Rikki (velcro) wrap will not work particularly well with your Ellas House Day Nappies - the thin hemp ones which are not the bumhuggers. The Motherease airflow wrap is best over them. The day nappies are incredibly effective if you know how to get the best out of them. If you have any problems with them post a message on here
