Hi
my 8 week old had his first lot of injections on Tuesday and since yesterday has been having having a diarrhoea about 7 in 24 hours some are only little but some are big. They’re yellow in colour. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this after baby’s first injections

Pretty normal I would say! Did he also have the rotavirus oral vaccine? That can cause upset stomach (and sometimes green poo!). Did you give calpol after the injections? That can sometimes upset tummies too.

Yes he had the rotavirus oral vaccine and he had 3 lots of calpol every 4 hours as we was told to. How long does it usually last?

It will be the rotavirus - it lasted with us for about a week! Make sure you're washing hands thoroughly after nappy changes (obviously!) as you can catch it

It'll last a few days to a week. It's normal. As long as your little one is well in himself don't worry.

Thank you, it’s put my mind at ease knowing it’s normal after the rotavirus. X
