What position do you change toddlers nappy in

I have been diagnosed with piriformis syndrome which has a pain similar to sciatica, very uncomfortable! I think this has been exacerbated by a year of changing my toddlers nappy sitting cross legged on the floor. He’s far too old for a nappy changing table, just wondering what ‘other’ positions you use to change a toddlers nappy…that’s your position, not the toddlers! I’ve tried kneeling, doesn’t really work for my dodgy knees. He’s in pull ups now so it’s really only for no 2s - any ideas much appreciated!!

When our child was too old for the change table it was on the bed on a change mat

That mightened have answered your question though

I sit on the sofa at an angle while toddler lays down on sofa (if cooperating). We have hard flooring and it’s so uncomfortable to sit on the floor.

Not quite the same, I have a wrist problem and if she isn't cooperating I either put something interesting on the telly or on my phone. Makes it far less of a battle and much easier on my hand.

Standing usually. I kneel I guess.

Mine is 2.5 and we're still using a changing table, eldest was the same and used the changing table all along. Keeps them contained! Have you tried it lately? You might be pleasantly surprised.
