My 20 month old has had a severe behaviour change, and it has taken me back big time.
She is normally all me, smiley, plays lovely with her sister and other children at daycare, quite a little jester, always doing things to make people laugh.
So for the past 2 weeks or so she has been poorly with a viral bug that's been going around, it has been awful seeing her push high temperatures, she has been off food, and has clung to me most of the time for comfort.
She has shook the illness but I don't even recognise her right now.
All of a sudden she will not come near me, only daddy. I can't even pick her up without a full blown temper tantrum, she won't let me give her a kiss bye bye, she has been acting very aggressive towards me and her sister, hair pulling and scratching etc.
I feel totally brokenhearted... Dad just says it's her age coming through but honestly it just feels like I have upset her but I have no idea what I have done.
I cried last night after trying to put her in her pyjamas and she just flew off the handle, screaming until she lost her voice, thrashing around... Then dad came in to take over and it was all hugs and sad sobs while looking at me.
Please tell me that this is a normal phase and it goes fast. My heart cannot take anymore. It's day 5 now :(
