Bottle strike?

My almost six month old is bottle, formula fed and has been since she was about one month old. Never had any issues taking a bottle.

She had been poorly with temp, cough and cold for a few days. Her temp has now gone but the last 2/3 days she has been refusing bottles. She is having roughly half of what she used to and it's a battle to even get that down her.

She's been more congested than this previously and never stopped her.

I spoke to HV who are going to come and weigh her so can monitor incase this continues.

Her nappies are wet but not as heavy as usual, she is still having a dirty one minimum a day. Apart from the fact she still has her cough and cold she is still smiling and playing etc.

I am feeding frequent and often to try and get her to take more, I've tried upping the teat (was too fast doing this), offering in a silly cup (again too fast and didn't take it) and now have started to give syringes of milk 5ml at a time just to get more in her.

I haven't started weaning her so it's not because she is filling up on food.

Has anyone had this before?

I would put it down to her being unwell.

Like us, after being poorly your appetite isn't fully back straight away.

Long as she's having some, wet nappies and happy I would just give her few more days to pull herself round.
