So my son had an infection around 20 December AE gave him antibiotics and his cough got better and it was dry cough at night. Since yesterday his cough has become chesty again and he’s coughing more than normal. 😩😩 I am so scared I don’t want him to get ill again. He doesn’t even go out much and we are okay at home aswell. I spoke to 111 and they said someone will give me a call back. But just so scared as last time he was so unwell 😩 and just about recovered recently

Have you read the NHS guidance on coughs in children? www.nhs.uk/conditions/baby/health/colds-coughs-and-ear-infections-in-children/

A cough in itself isn't particularly worrying. It's when it's combined with high temperatures, or they aren't eating/drinking or are breathing strangely, or if it lasts for a long time, that you particularly need to seek help.

I’m pretty certain DS has had a cough more than he hasn’t since starting nursery 2 years ago. If he’s otherwise pretty well I’d probably just monitor it to be honest…
